Experience the City of Las Cruces Museums The City of Las Cruces Museum System consists of the Branigan Cultural Center, the Las Cruces Museum of Art, the Las Cruces Museum of Natural History, and the Las Cruces Railroad Museum. The Las Cruces Museum of Art and the Branigan Cultural Center are located side-by-side on the Downtown Mall at North Main Street. These two facilities focus on traditional and contemporary art, cultural exhibitions, classes, and programming. The Branigan Cultural Center is on the State and National Registry of Historic Places. The Las Cruces Museum of Natural History is located within the Mesilla Valley Mall. It’s mission is to broaden the understanding of natural history, science, and the environment of the Chihuahuan Desert. Educational programs and guided Chihuahuan tours for children and adults are offered throughout the year. The Las Cruces Railroad Museum is located in the historic Santa Fe Depot at 351 Mesilla St. at the intersection of Las Cruces Ave. The museum interprets the impact of the railroad on the Mesilla Valley and Las Cruces. Guided tours, field trips and public programs are held throughout the year.
