We invite local teens to apply as a Summer Teen Volunteer.
- Gain valuable experience useful for college and work applications!
- Spend part of your summer helping your community!
- Work with a team to support literacy!
Both applications need to be submitted before an interview is scheduled. The deadline to apply is May 1st 2021.
Come visit the MakerSpace on the second floor! Teens do not need a library card to use the maker space. Librarians are filling it with a variety of materials and equipment, including:
- Arts and crafts materials, including materials for silk-screening, printmaking, collage and more
- Board games and puzzles
- Guitars for loan
- An Xbox and gaming center
- Sewing machines
Video & Sound Editing Equipment
The MakerSpace has the latest in technology, including a media center where 12 to 18-year-olds can use professional-grade film and sound editing equipment like Logic Pro X and Final Cut Pro to make and edit their own films.
Computers are available in the Young Adult department. A library card or guest pass is required to log in. Please note computers in the Young Adult area have internet access and content filters.
