[ARCHIVED] Water Outage Notice for Rose Gold Street and Meadow Sage Place

Hand turning off the water faucet

Residents near Rose Gold Street and Meadow Sage Place will experience a water outage between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 as part of the Sonoma Ranch North Phase 5 subdivision's tie in of new water lines into the existing system.

The Rose Gold St./Baltic Green Ave. and Meadow Sage Pl/Baltic Green Ave. intersection addresses that are affected include:

 Rose Gold Street: 4383, 4384, 4397 and 4398

 Meadow Sage Place: 4145, 4152, 4153 and 4154

Once service is restored, residents may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, city officials recommend waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear. The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all cold water and exterior faucets in the house for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the Las Cruces Utilities at 526-0500 for assistance.

For more information, contact the Public Works Department, Construction Management at 575/528-3098. The TTY number is 575/541-2182. For after-hour assistance, call Utility Dispatch at 575/526-0500.
